Don’t have a college degree & have a sibling who does? If so, I want to hear from you!

This study investigates sibling relationships across differing levels of educational attainment. Despite being the majority in the U.S., social science researchers rarely seek out the perspectives of those without histories of college-going to learn about their/your important thoughts on higher education, educational differences between people, and cross-class relationships. You can help researchers fill these gaps in our knowledge by participating in a zoom or phone interview (60$ gift card stipend).

I am Dr. April Burns, a faculty member at Guttman Community College at the City University of New York (CUNY), and I am interested in speaking with people without a college degree about their experiences and perspectives on education, fairness, and their family (specifically brothers and/or sisters who have college degrees).

CLICK HERE to see if you fit the parameters of the study by answering a few eligibility questions (under 3 minutes). Your answers will be anonymous and won’t be saved. Answering these questions does not obligate you to participate, just that you meet the requirements of this particular study.

Principal Researcher: Dr. April Burns, Assistant Professor of Psychology
